Rowan University held it’s 10th annual Relay for Life event this Friday, April 17th in the Esby gym. Students, caregivers, staff, and cancer survivors filled the gym, ready to camp out until 6 A.M. Participants were encouraged to walk around the gym in memory of friends and loved ones. Games, music, and speeches were held in the gym to ensure awareness of the effects of cancer and to appreciate life. The event was a success. Of the 81 teams and 1,066 participants, $39,362.83 was raised!
This was such a heartwarming experience for everyone. Everyone showed their support all while having a great time and sharing stories. It was a great way to connect with other people with the similar stories and to raise awareness of Cancer.
